Does Botox interfere with interpreting body language?
Tonya Reiman
Printer-Friendly Format

You look to see if someone is smiling a genuine smile but you don't see any crows feet around the eyes..... Are they surprised? Their eyebrows hardly move and there is no activity in the forehead - what do you do? Newcomers to facial reading need to take into account that botox is becoming more and more of a "norm". That means that if you are trying to confirm an emotion via the face, you need to look for additional clues. Don't assume an expression is false because all the "right" muscles don't move. Of course, having said that realize It might take a little longer and not be as accurate.
