Question: Hi Tonya, I've always wondered, why don't politicians ever make a fist when they give a speech? Their thumb is always above their pointer finger.

Answer: because a fist denotes aggression and anger - leaving out the thumb (known as the "power digit" allows the politician to be seen as making a stern point without being overbearing.
